Is the Sandwich Box dishwasher safe?
No, both the sandwich box and the bamboo cutting board are not dishwasher safe.

Is the Sandwich Box leak-proof?
No, but our Box Appetit, Inox box and Bento Boxes do.

How should the bamboo box and board be treated and cared for?
Clean your bamboo board and box with hot, soapy water or a bleach and water dilution (1 tablespoon of bleach per gallon/4.5L of water). Don't let the board soak in water, and dry it with a dishcloth or paper towel after cleaning. To keep your bamboo board in good condition, we recommend using food-safe mineral oil and applying it with a cotton cloth once a month (if you use the board regularly). Be sure to wipe off any excess oil. This will ensure it doesn't dry out and crack.

What are the benefits of bamboo as a board material?
Technically speaking, bamboo is a grass, not a wood. It's a sustainable resource because it grows so quickly and can be harvested. It's a very dense wood, which means it retains less moisture compared to other wood planks. It also makes it less prone to warping (if treated properly).
