Simply pull the valve upward (until it stops and meets resistance, not completely closed) and lift the lid by lifting at the corners. If the box contains liquids, be careful as they may spill.

This large stainless steel container is 100% leak-proof when used correctly. The container must be properly locked and sealed. To ensure this, simply check that the edges of the base and the silicone seal on the lid are dry and clean. Push the lid down firmly, ensuring it is completely closed on all sides, then close the valve. The silicone strap can be used for extra security. You MUST ensure all hot food is cool before closing the lid, as this may cause the container to leak.

NO, this product is made of steel and CANNOT be used in the microwave.
